 This week was Christy's birthday. We had a splendid birthday party complete with the tradition of buffalo wings. We tried some of the hottest wings - Reba unknowingly and others intentionally. To our shock, they were quite hot and we found the only thing that helped speed up the cooling process was to rub carrots on our lips. We spent some time playing a game of 3-on-a-couch, in which the guys were quite outnumbered. However, they still came through and won the first round of the game. We won't mention the other rounds. Christy received some gifts from all the team members--predominately candy and new clothes. We spent some time telling Christy what we appreciated about her and we were all blessed because of it. It was neat to see how God has used her in each of the team members lives. God has truly given us a gift in Christy. The night was a wonderful night of fun and reflection.
