Stephanie and I have had the privilege of traveling in itinerant ministry for almost eight years. We were able to serve under Steve and Terry Pettit for three years and gained valuable life and ministry experience under their leadership. After getting married in August 2005, we began traveling with Will and Christy Galkin. We are now working on our fifth year of traveling alongside of them. Our time of ministry with the Galkins has been wonderful. The Lord has definitely bonded our hearts together as we have labored with them for the sake of the Gospel for the last several years.
What God is doing
The Lord has been working in our hearts for a while concerning our future. We feel that the Lord is directing us to launch out on our own into itinerant ministry. This May will be the end of our time of ministry with the Galkins. A little over a year ago, we decided that our itinerate ministry as a family would begin in September 2010. It has been such a blessing to see God filling our schedule and opening up opportunities to serve in local churches.
What we want to see God do
We love the church and want to give our lives to see it grow. One of our greatest burdens is the health of our churches in the area of evangelism. We desire to see people saved and added to the church as a direct result of our Gospel-focused ministry. This would include an emphasis on straight forward Gospel preaching for both salvation and the power to change and have victory over sin. Part of our focus is also helping to equip the saints to do the work of evangelism in their own personal contexts. As the Lord leads, we would love to have the opportunity to serve with you at your church for the glory of God.
