 The last week of our fall semester was in Augusta, Georgia at Westside Baptist Church. We met up with the Galkins for our week of ministry together. It was a sweet time to be together for both families, since we haven’t ministered as just the two families in a couple of years. It was our first week of ministry back with the Galkins since having our second baby, Asher James, who is now just seven weeks old. We have been at Westside Baptist many times and looked forward to a great week of serving together. The first several nights were focused on encouraging the church in the Word. On Wednesday night we had Family Night. I lead the children in a program that included the “5 Facts About My Great Big God” and several other songs and verses that they learned throughout the week. Will preached a message on love in relationships. God saved two teenagers through the message. Praise the Lord for the power of the Gospel! All throughout the week the teens were working hard at inviting their friends to the Thursday night Cola War. Our Irish Concert finished out the week. The church was full and many were blessed to hear the Good News of Jesus!
Our time at Westside was a great blessing. The pastoral team under the leadership of Bobby Lehn was an example of service and commitment to the Lord’s church. We were blessed to spend special time together. Praise the Lord for the spirit of love amidst His people there!
