3 Weeks in the West PDF Print E-mail
bereanbaptist.gif     Three weeks in the West has been quite an adventure for our team. We’ve had the privilege to minister in Wyoming and Idaho and see some beautiful sights in the Rocky Mountain region.
We kicked off our first week in Cheyenne, WY. The pastor and congregation of Homestead Baptist Church are very burdened for their community and thankfully by God’s grace many visitors came out to our Cola War and Sacred Irish Concert. We were blessed by the servant hearts of pastor Randy Gregory and the ladies who served us each day with amazing food! We were able to connect with many visitors after the meetings and even connect with the college and career group for an ice cream social!
After Cheyenne we headed west to Will’s home state, Idaho.
On our way to Berean Baptist in Idaho Falls, our semi blew a tire and damaged part of the trailer. Thankfully the semi repair shop had a tire in stock and the Lord kept the team safe from harm. Once we got to Idaho Falls, Will insisted that the team go out to his favorite fast food restaurant, Arctic Circle. We enjoyed a time of fellowship over ice cream and Lime Rickies, which have become a new favorite drink for the team. Pastor Todd Wood has developed a ministry to the workers at Arctic Circle and the team was able to have a small concert in the restaurant to promote our Sacred Irish Concert (watch the video ). We praise God that many children were saved through our Battle for Truth ministry and that many contacts were made through our nightly meetings.
Next on the itinerary was the church that Will grew up in, Grace Baptist in Twin Falls. On Saturday, the team trekked out to the Shoshone and Twin falls and had a chance to reflect on God’s amazing creation. That night, Will’s parents and his sister Nicola and her family joined our team for a shish kebab cookout at the trailer. On Monday night our Battle for Truth ministry was blessed with a number of visitors and by God’s grace a visiting family trusted Christ. Our Cola War had a huge blow out with approximately twenty visitors out, five of which received counsel after the service. Will’s parents were able to invite friends in the area to the meetings, but a special blessing was for them to see their neighbor, who has been cold toward the gospel, come to the Sacred Irish Concert. The last three weeks have been a great reminder that all we can do in our ministry is plant and water, but it is God who gives the increase.
