Praying God's Word for the Unsaved |
|
|
|
 Romans 10:17 reminds us that "faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." When praying for the unsaved that we love it is easy to lose hope. What is needed in many of our prayer lives is a solid dose of God's Word. Please take the following passages and pray through them with the names of those that you are burdended for. Read on to see the verses and prayer examples.

Praying the Lord's Prayer |

Have you ever thought about how many people in the world pray? It seems that everyone prays to someone or something. Many people even have prayers memorized so that they can rattle them off quickly. But how do we pray? How can we know we are really praying and not just speaking useless words? As believers, we have a divine model given for us in Scripture. This model was not given by anyone, but by the Lord of prayer Himself. Christ said, "Pray in this manner." Matt. 6:9. I hope and pray that this tool will help in your quest to meaningful and effective prayers.

 Have you ever asked yourself this question? Or maybe, “Why did I just get so angry? I’m not usually like that.” Or, “I wonder what it is about that person
that just seems to rub me the wrong way?”
We all have our bouts with anger, but the bigger questions that need to
be answered are: Where does this anger
come from and what does it reveal about me?

 There are times in every life when circumstances or emotions seem to dry up the very soil of our lives. Perhaps times when life seems pointless, or even despairing. It is at moments like these that we must turn to the fountain of life - Jesus Christ. We need to go scripture and like David, pray for the quickening hand of God. Here is some helpful instruction on why we should pray that God would quicken us. The verses are taken from Psalm 119 - use them in your prayer life. Beg God to quicken and revive you in your walk.

During the fall
semester, the team was reading through A Gospel Primer by Milton Vincent
– a book of meditations on the Gospel. Through meditation on the person of
Jesus, our souls were refreshed and encouraged. Recently Christy did a workshop on being crucified with Christ. We would like to provide one of

Pray and read your
Bible. Christians are told over and over
this is what they must do everyday to walk with the Lord. “I can read my Bible. That’s not difficult, but prayer? I don’t know what to say”. “I don’t have enough to say – my prayers only
last ten minutes.” “My mind wanders and
I find myself thinking about all that I have to do today.” These are questions and comments I have heard
people say and even said myself. Yet the
Bible says to “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17). How can I have a greater prayer life?

Thankfulness.
It’s so easy when things are great. Hard when things aren’t. We have this
little picture on the top of our bathroom sink that has 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Sometimes
I read 1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every
thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you and
think “That seems impossible. How can I be thankful for _________?” This past
month I have been doing a study on Job as well as reading in the Old Testament.

Jonathan Edwards on the Pilgrim |

 The Christian Pilgrim was preached by Jonathan Edwards in 1733. His message is a challenge to those of us who name Jesus as our Lord, to live in light of another country - Heaven. I know this message has been a great challenge and a blessing in my own life. So I hope and trust that this will be both an encouragement, and an admonishment for your walk with Christ.  Sometimes Christians can feel overwhelmed or under equipped
when thinking about taking the gospel to those around them. We can be burdened
about everyone and end up reaching no one. What is needed is a Gospel Grid. During the adult pre-service in our local church meetings we have been studying
how we can reach others with the gospel. Please download the PDF provided. This material is designed to help equip the believer with a biblical grid to
assist them as they do their part in reaching the lost around them with the
gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel Grid will seek to assist the believer by
walking them through the following questions:

Who has God placed into my life to reach with the
Gospel?
2)
What is the mindset of those that God has called me to
reach?
3)
What is the gospel and how should I communicate it?
4)
What is my plan to reach those around me with the
Gospel?

Thank you for hosting our team at your church! We are looking forward to minister with your church and help spread the gospel to your community.
Our team is here to serve in whatever capacity necessary to further the gospel in your community. We feel that an excellent way to inform the community is by personal invite.
Below you will notice we have created various flyers and other materials to invite and inform the community about the all the gospel events throughout the week.
Outreach Materials Overview
Our team avails to your church many different adult outreach programs. Currently the only program we are offering a flyer for is the Irish Concert. This program is a mix of folk tunes and sacred Irish music
followed by a gospel message from Will Galkin.
We have two flyer types for this concert. The first one was created by
a church in Steamboat Springs, CO. It is shaped like a ticket with all
of the information included on the front. It prints six to a page. To
add a map, you can scan one onto the back of the ticket. The second
flyer type is shaped like a card. It prints four to a page. The details
of the concert are on the back of this flyer.
Teen Outreach
Our
team avails to your church many different teen outreach programs. We currently offer a flyer for the Cola War and Pizza Bash. These programs feature free pizza, fun
games, and a gospel message. The Cola War flyer is shaped like a card. It
prints four to a page. The details of the Cola War are on the back of
this flyer. The Pizza Bash flyer includes all of the information on the
front. It prints two to a page, and is shaped like a regular flyer.
Children Outreach
Our team avails a children's program called The Battle 4 Truth to your church each night during the pre-service and the regular service. The boys and girls are put on two teams: Army and Navy. The flyer for this event is shaped like a card and prints four to a page with all the information on the front. To add a map, you can scan one onto the back.
Each child is given a rank card (army or navy) to help them get more involved with the program. If they complete their rank card by the end of the week, they will receive a special prize. These rank cards print four to a page and include their Bible verse and five facts on the back.
To help better inform your church about visitors and decisions that the children have made within the week, we have provided registration and decision cards. These print four to a page with all the information on the front.

- For instructions on how to fill out these materials, click "Instruction Sheet" under the picture.
- The children materials (military rank cards, registration cards, and decision cards) do not contain inctructions because they do not need to be filled out, just simply printed.
